Since a bearing in the Avenger supercharger sounded like it was going south I decided to pull it off of our project Wrangler and let Avenger take a look at it.

Project Red's Engine

It's got 100,000 miles on it so I'm pretty impressed it lasted this long. I'm still curious as to what's making noise and why though. I pulled the larger injectors too and replaced them with stock parts. What a difference. It's kind of a bummer not having the extra power anymore. You really notice it. Especially on grades. I sometimes need to downshift now where as before I could lug the engine or gas it whenever I wanted. The extra 100hp make a huge difference. On the plus side I switched back to less-expensive regular unleaded fuel. And I get better gas mileage too. The Project TJ rolls on 35-inch tires with 4.56 gears and was getting 11.5mpg with the Avenger Supercharger. Without the supercharger I'm getting 14mpg. Everything is stock except for the Airaid open-element filter kit. The intake tube and exhaust are all stock parts.
