Comman D'oh "D'oh!"
Posted April 14 2010 06:09 PM by Christian Hazel
Today I paid the price of impatience. Well, sort of at least. I finally got around to tearing the Comman D'oh Dana 20 apart today for a rebuild. Only problem is somebody got there before me.

Brown Dog Offroad Motor Mounts
Whoopsie!
Posted April 13 2010 07:55 AM by Christian Hazel
Look before you leap? That's my motto! Brown Dog sent me a HD motor mount/engine bracket setup for a 2.5L Wrangler, but naturally I didn't check the part numbers before I went to install 'em.

Puttin' my money where their mouth is
Brown Dog Offroad Motor Mounts
Posted March 21 2010 09:46 AM by Christian Hazel
I started building some Olds 455 motor mounts the other day using some poly spring bushings and some 1-3/4-inch DOM like I usually do. Then I remembered Brown Dog Off Road sent me a set of its 1-inch lift 4.0L motor mounts...

Diggin' out from the Parts Storm
Buried Alive
Posted March 18 2010 06:27 PM by Christian Hazel
I'm literally buried under an avalanche of parts awaiting install but one or two little things are hanging up each project. The result? Parts are sitting in my garage with nowhere to go.

Back in the Garage!
Spinnin' Wrenches
Posted March 4 2010 11:08 AM by Christian Hazel
Finally got the June '10 issue of Jp out the door and am happily back where I'd rather be: in the garage spinning wrenches. Parts are finally rolling in and now I'm backlogged on my installs.

Hate Degreasing!
Comman D'oh T-Case Out
Posted February 18 2010 06:36 PM by Christian Hazel
I took a break from the phone and e-mails today to peck away at a few more Comman D'oh projects. I'd like to get this sucker running soon. I doubt it'll be ready for TDS and may not even make Moab, but it would be nice to...

Curse of the Grey Primer
CommanD'oh Paint Job
Posted February 14 2010 09:26 AM by Christian Hazel
My '48 Willys pickup, Murderous Overkill has been languishing in my garage unfinished and un worked on for years. I think the grey primer paint job cursed it. Not wanting the same for my '73 Commando, I broke out a case of...

Posted February 11 2010 10:58 PM by Christian Hazel
You can read about the '73 CommanD'oh's new distributor in my other blog, but here's some of the shenanigans I went through today while digging a little deeper into my new project.

DUI on the AMC!
CommanD'Oh Wrenching Day
Posted February 11 2010 10:41 PM by Christian Hazel
You just can't bead a Davis Unified Ignition from Performance Distributors for a clean install and killer performance. Today I pried the can of worms that is my '73 CommanD'oh project open just a little more.
