So Diesel Power editor Dave Kennedy cons me into going to the Baja 500 to see these new diesel VW Touaregs blast through the race. My fave is actually the trophy trucks, but I couldn't deny the Touaregs really handled the corners and tight sections. But it looked like a rough ride. Kinda like bashing Mom's Volvo through a cornfield.

Anyway, we were hangin' around just outside one of the BFG tire pits near Ojos Negros and Kennedy spotted Sandra Bullock waiting for husband Jesse James to come by in his trophy truck. He was running a little behind. Apparently he ain't all that great of a driver. The barbed wire fence we saw wrapped around his front bumper earlier that day was testament to that. Plus he was getting passed by like everybody, including the Tourags. I ain't saying I can drive a trophy truck any better than him or anything, it's just I think Mr. TV star might be a little over his head in one of those trucks.
