My Deuce is Gone

My 2 1/2-ton Military Truck is Gone

It's finally out of my yard...

And I already kinda miss it. When I decided to sell my 2 1/2-ton I had done pretty much everything I had wanted to do with it. Oh, of course I wanted to add power steering, locking hubs, propane injection, air suspension seats, and a whole list of other mods. But the reality was I would never get around to making these great modifications. I have too many other projects that need attention. Don't worry though. The truck didn't go far. It's still owned by someone in the same building. Another magazine editor. And if things go the way he hopes it will show up in Diesel Power magazine in the form of some build-up stories. Maybe an engine swap, maybe another overdrive... We'll have to wait and see. Anyway, when he drove off he said something that resonated with me. "I hope this isn't the kind of vehicle purchase where the best days of owning it are the first and last." This certainly wasn't the case for me, but I was kinda ready to move on to the next project. For now, I'm on the hunt for a cheap, running, low-milage, early '90s Cherokee. I'll let ya know my plans (if they don't change in the next 30 seconds or so) when I get it.
