So, I'm looking to swap a '94 or newer Chevy V8 into my '94 Wrangler, I was in Canfield, Ohio, and low and behold, a late-model Caprice in the car crush pile.
I'm looking at Chevy Caprices and their station wagon and Buick cousins because they go for cheap. Especially the old cop cars. But when I saw this one, I had to go over and see if it had the LT-1 in it. Sure enough, it did. And, the monster truck had missed enough of the nose for some parts to still be ok.
All I had on me was my knife, but that was enough to get a stock air cleaner assembly and intake tube, including the MAF sensor. The engine looked unscathed too, but I didn't have a cherry picker, and didn't know how I would even check that for the flight back to CA.
