So instead of actually working on my Jeep projects like I should be, I decided to visit some friends in San Diego and screw around with my RC car.

This hobby is getting expensive. This ready-to-run RC truck cost me $159 to begin with. I've likely spent ten times that amount repairing and upgrading it. This last weekend was especially bad. Normally I can run about 6 or 7 batteries through my truck when we head over to the track. This time I barely got through one pack. It seemed like every other lap resulted in something flying off, breaking, or getting bent. I actually ran out of spare parts! I suppose it's been a long time coming since most of the time my car stays together pretty good. It's not that I'm easy on it or anything. I frequently send it off jumps that launch it 5-6 feet in the air at a distance of 20 feet. Needless to say when it crashes it does some pretty spectacular cartwheels. And I'm not all that geat of a driver either. I still hit stuff at full throttle like a 5-year-old. Anyway, back to the work bench.
