Apparently listing my rare Gretsch White Falcon on eBay did nothing more than open the door to a bunch of low life scammers.

In addition to my junk Jeep habit I've been a life long guitar slinger.  I've got photos of me playing a guitar as a kid that's bigger than I am.  I obtained this 6137 stereo Gretsch White Falcon nearly 20 years ago.  To put it in perspective, it's sort of like a Willys MA pre-standardized jeep.  Pretty darn rare and collectible.  I've been a staunch eBay detractor for years because of all the complications involved with using the site, but I figured it was my best bet at finding a buyer for my rare collectible. 

Wrong.  So far I've only gotten scams, flakes, and more scams.  The scams range from the Nigerian overseas shipping thing to full on phony eBay e-mails and messages complete with the company's trademark literature, etc. on it asking for my bank account and personal info.  The auction hasn't even ended yet and I'm hoping the thing doesn't sell because at this point I don't trust that anybody using eBay is on the level.
