Juggy Plumbing

Brake Lines

I started assembling this Juggy project of mine in early 2003. That was 5 years ago in a month. It's moved with me once and I've built at least four other Jeeps while this one waited paceintly to be fondled. I really don't have a good reason why.

So I've been compiling parts and getting ready to get after it. Today all of my Russell brake line parts showed up...well almost all of them. I have to build the hard lines and some of the banjo fittings were on backorder. I suppose what's really kept me from busting this thing out is that I've gotten to the parts of the project that I don't enjoy working on all that much: exhaust and brake lines. But ya gotta do it. Anyway, it took me a while to figure out if I wanted to run individual lines to each wheel for simplicity, or if I wanted to run them down the links for protection and cool factor, or single lines with hard lines on the axles. Eventually,  I decided on the single lines front and back with hard lines on the axles. They seemed less likely to get damaged and it wasn't as complex as the link lines. Stay tuned for how to re-line a Jeep, or any 4x4 for that matter.
