OK, I'm over it. I went to pick up the Jp JK Wrangler at the dealer and the service writer tells me lots of seemingly good news. They replaced the questionable battery that they killed, fixed the locker, and fixed the leak in the door seals which required a door adjustment thanks to the wreck and poor body work done by another dealer. So the service writer starts walking me over to the cashier and I ask her what I'm paying for. She responds "the oil change". I only got part way through explaining that I canceled the oil change when she remembered. Simple mistake, and she corrected it. No charge.

So I get the Jeep home and check out the work. They replaced the maintenance-free battery with a potentially-leaky and certainly cheaper maintenance-type battery. Oh well, at least it's a Mopar battery. There was a factory recall on the seals so all of the door and top seals were replaced. But as I mentioned, the driver door needed realigning to seal properly. Inside the Jeep the carpet and parts of the interior were covered with seal scrapings, bits of foam and stuff. Apparently the TSB seal replacement doesn't include cleanup at this dealer. But the real bummer is the new dent in the door. It looks like the door frame was bent in order to get the seals to work properly. You can see a crease! The door is sealed better but it's still not totally right. At this point, I give up. It seems everytime I pick my Jeep up from this dealer, I'm leaving with a new problem. For now I'm simply going to accept what I believed from the beginning. Once your Jeep is in a wreck, it will never be the same as new. I'm up to about 25,000 miles so the warranty is up soon anyway. Avoid Power Chrysler Jeep in Valencia, CA.
