Jeep-based landsharks!

Ok, so by nature, I'm a metal kind of guy.  I like it loud, in your face, and above all, fast paced.  Its just the way I am.  Over the years though, my favorite bands have disbanded, OD'd or just faded away, I've been looking elsewhere for music.  I started listening to Jimmy Buffett the last few years and it is a total 180 from what I lean towards normally.  Buffett fans call themselves "Parrotheads" and after having been to 5 or so concerts, I guess I qualify, if only by proxy.

If you like hanging out around a campfire, you'll like tailgating at a Buffett concert.  Its just like hanging out around a campfire with your buddies, if your buddies were hula-skirt-coconut-bikini wearing fun loving people.  It is cool, walk up and talk to whoever you want- here, everyone is friendly and just having fun.

So, after my first tailgating episode, I started listening to the music more... it is always played in the parking lots before the show, and I had a bunch of tunes stuck in my head.  Also, I was surprised at how many of the songs I knew already.  Maybe I've been a closet Parrothead all along, and just didn't know it.

I've got a whole bunch of goofy pictures... after going to enough of these, I'll shoot just about anything, and people are always happy to oblige.  This year, I was surprised at how many Jeeps were there as I walked around talking to people.  If you guys are interested I can put up some of the Buffett inspired Jeeps and Jeep mods I saw out there too.  There are some neat ones for sure.

Ok, so maybe I'm not all the way a "parrothead".  I'm the guy in the last picture next to the two Irish lasses and Norm (in the hawaiian shirt).  Yeah, that's right.  I'm wearing a national FC roundup T-shirt, a Ramsey Winch hat, and a lei that someone gave me once I showed up.   Any other Parrotheads in the house?
