'72 Commando and '78 CJ-5

If you've been following along, you know that Christian and myself have a Jeep-buying issue.  We joke around the office and pick on Christian because it really is true that he's got issues not buying a Jeep in the sub-$1000 catagory.  I am similarly afflicted, and have been for years.  In fact, I had this issue even before I moved to sunny Southern California, and it has resulted in my having Jeeps in many states.

CJ5 Interior

I now have Jeeps in NJ, TN, OH, and CA.  These are but two examples of the Jeeps I left behind in NJ when I moved.  As you can plainly see, they haven't moved much (if at all) since I left them.  Above, you can see the inside of a CJ-5 that hasn't moved in more than 2 years.

Spider Motel

This Commando has been a breeding ground for spiders since I bought it.  I keep eliminating them, but they keep on coming back.  I've basically given up at this point.  Let the spiders have the Jeep.  At least until I am ready to do something with it.

Rear Engine Jeep

So, I have these two, a CJ-5 in TN that I bought for its body, pulled a Scout rear Dana 44 out of, and then did nothing with.  It is still sitting where I left it, and the kicker is that the CJ-5 I had that needed the body is long since gone.

I've also got an '84 Scrambler, that is a Jeep in title only... the body is a poster child for rust, the front clip is long since gone, and the frame might not be that far behind.  No engine, trans, or t-case round out this shimmering jewel of Jeep.  But I've wanted a Scrambler forever and this one was free, so it made sense in a way.

Check out my AMC 304 under dirty glass.  Both the Commando and the CJ-5 have AMC V-8s, this is a spare, just in case.

Any of you guys have Jeeps you had to leave behind for one reason or another?  Do you still harbor dreams of going back for them, or have you sold them all off?
