Global Warming

Or Is It??

I don't really know enough about the subject to say anything.  I mean, I've not studied weather patterns of the last 1000 years to get a good grasp on where we are globally and climatically.  I think it would be quite conceited to say that we have definititively had a major impact on the world's climate.  What I do know is its hot.

Its hot, inside and out.

Yeah, I'm whining.  Too bad.  I moved from Riverside, CA (92504) to Green Valley, CA (91390).  I was tired of the commute, tired of the traffic, and tired of the heat in the summer.  So, I found a place 20 miles closer to the office, 3000 ft up in the mountains, 20 miles through a national forest.

Beleive it or not, I checked on weather conditions before moving, and found them to be better than Riverside in the summer.  Check out this neat little weather site:  http://www.wunderground.com/

And now that I'm here... for the last 2 or 3 weeks, with the exception of a couple days, the temp has been in the mid to high 90's with 100's to 110's down in the valley (I'm about 1500 ft higher than the next town south of me, so it should be cooler).  Well, this past week alone, the high has flirted with 100 every day, often over 90 at 10 am.  Its been cooler at the place I left in Riverside for almost a month now, and Riverside is basically an irrigated desert.

Like I said at the beginning, I can't speak to global warming, but I know good and darn well, that it is warming here and now, and I'm just sick and tired of it.  I've been told we've been setting record highs all over SoCal and I am inclined to believe it.  Oh, if you ever have a chance to rotate 10 tires in 100 degree heat on an incline, pass.

I might regret this one... but is it hotter than usual wherever you are reading this from?
