It is now almost midnight.
I did no real work today, I just fought my two computers (work laptop, and personal) for basically the last 16 hours.
Ok, so I finished up two stories, handed in a bunch of pictures, but still. I didn't wrench on anything, didn't even drive a Jeep anywhere.
The work laptop rebelled until just a few minutes ago about connecting to the office, transferring files, and was just generally a PITA.
The home computer, where I have all my photos at home is a mess. Not like it blew up mess, but like I've been saving my pictures from my Canon D20 in a folder called "Canon Pictures." Makes sense, right. Then a year passed, and I started organizing the pictures by year and then date.
At the beginning it was easy for me to recall what year or day approximately something happened. Problem is now that I've been using this camera for 4 years, I need to figure out a better filing system as I spend a lot of time now looking for pictures. So, I went ahead and tried to figure out how many I have... to see how big a job that might be. You can see it for yourself... 25,000 pictures and about 75 Gb of data. That doesn't count the other 3 cameras I've had over the last 4 years, or the 2 or 3 before I started this job. I have my work cut out for me.
