What did you do for the long weekend?
I didn't play Jeep of go boating. I did yard work. Actually, it's sort of a nice break. My RV parking is on the side of my house next to a short retaining wall. My car hauler slips in just fine, but I was afraid some of the vegetation growing above the wall would scratch my boat when if I tried to swing it in there.
I built some sides for my trailer out of 2x4s and OSB so I could load it up with yard waste for a dump run. Then I spent the better part of an afternoon cutting out a bunch of Blue Agavae, Juniper, Yucca, and other plants I've come to consider weeds and loading it up.
For the uninformed, Blue Agavae is what they make Tequila out of. It's a nasty spikey plant with a lot of moist pulp in it. If you get the pulp on your skin while cutting it, it makes you break out in an itchy, bumpy rash somewhat similar to Poison Ivy or Poison Oak. So think about that the next time you reach for that shot of Quervo.
