I've said MSN sucks for years. There are so many issues in getting the page to load or the email to load that I just don't use it half the time, and use other better pages. But when it screwed the pooch with the recent earthquake we had here in SoCal, I had the presence of mind to take a screen shot.
Ok, so the phones get clogged up with panicked californians calling their friends to make sure they are ok. Cell lines and land lines were down. I was under the Hudson for 9-11, and all phones were down then too... talk about deja vu.
BUT to have a major internet web page not able to handle traffic?
