So what was it... 3 nights ago I didn't get home from work until 2 am? Today I decided to head into work at 2am. Yep, I'm just like that sometimes.
Ever have one of those nights where you just couldn't sleep? I've been doing pretty good recently about making it through the night. Well, last night I hit the sack at like 10pm. Come 1 am, I'm wide awake, bright-eyed, bushy-tailed and the whole nine. Come 2 am, after tossing and turning, I've finished my book (Enemy Combatant by Ed Gaffney- good book) and I'm antsy. I try to go back to sleep again... but by 3am I decide to hell with it and hit the road.
These pictures are what happens when you get a guy who can't sleep, a CRD Grand Cherokee, a Canon D20 with the shutter open for a while, and a moon playing peek-a-boo behind some clouds, and a commute that can (and often does) include remote trails in a mountain and always includes twisty mountain roads 10 miles from cellular service.
The Grand picture is just on the side of one of those roads (the trail wasn't heading the right way to get the moon). The overlook picture is from above Castaic Lake, overlooking the town of Castaic, CA
The last picture is just for reference, forcing the camera to auto-light meter... it really was dark.
