Big steel small truck

Take one 40 year old 17-ft long M715 that likes to overheat.  Drive it 20 miles across the 95 degree desert (which means 110 degrees in the truck)- all to pick up a piece of 20 ft long steel to be used to modify the 20 foot long trailer sitting in the driveway.  That makes for one editor who's a glutton for punishment.

I could have used  my new to me (less than 24 hours old) 20 ft trailer to go and get the angle iron I wanted.  It would have been way more comfortable driving the air conditioned WK across the desert.  But, it took me so long to get the trailer in the driveway yesterday, and all situated that I couldn't bring myself to undo all that work just for a little more comfortable of a drive.

So, the 2008 grand, and the 2008 20 foot trailer sat in the driveway while I drove my 1968 M715 to go get some steel.  It sounded like a good idea at the time.
