I don't know if I mentioned it, but the whole reason for draggin a trailer behind me was to pick up a Scrambler I traded for a winch. And, after having picked it up, and after having traveled from Colorado to Pennsylvania, I thought I'd share my "deluxe" traveling arrangements.
My first car was a Jeep Wrangler, but I wanted a pickup. Ever since then I've wanted a Scrambler... half Jeep, half pickup, and way too expensive and "rare" for me to ever get into. Then I found this one, traded a winch for it, and drove across the country to get it. Here's some shots of my setup to get me from Colorado to NJ (later today) in two days.
I can't get the images to be with the captions, so the captions are titled to match the image title.
The mobile Office- I needed to keep in touch with the office via email while I am on the road, so I connect the laptop to the ATT Tilt (modem) while listening to tunes off the iPod. All the blogs this week have been sent through my cell phone.
Dining Room Table- Gotta eat somewhere, and its quicker to make a sandwich or grab a Nutribar than it is to wait at a restaurant... and probably better than eating at McDonald's anyway.

Gas Station- Who knows where the next gas stop is? And, if I'm not tired or in need of a bathroom, I don't want to pull off the highway to get gas. So, I dump 6 gallons in when I stop.
Wash station- After messing with the trailer or filling the Jeep, I need to wash up. So, a Gerry can with a water spout gives me water to do so. It also doubles as a water source for drinking water.
My Bed- Gotta sleep somewhere.... I've been getting about 4 hours a night with this setup and its been working well. This is also my tent when I go to the desert or the dunes.
Yeah, its not the most luxurious way to travel... but I'm trying to minimize the amount of time out of the office, and make this cross country wheeling/Jeep pickup as quickly as possible. Plus, after a decade and a half, I finally have a Scrambler!
