Well, California is on fire again. About 100 miles or so to the north, Montecito has been burning for two days. Then this morning I woke up at 4:30 a.m., and for no particular reason I looked out the window to see the hills around Santa Clarita alight.
It usually happens once every couple years but there is a lot of dry brush now and it's been particularly windy. It's a little late in the year for it but it's warm and we haven't had much rain. Anyway, I noticed a dozer light up on the hill, no doubt making a fire break, but it's pretty much a cliff up there so I've been watching to see where he goes. Those guys must be nuts.
I shot the pic in my front yard. Yeah, its blurry. It's dark outside and windy, but the moon is out so I used a tripod and left the shutter open for about 5-7 seconds. I'll try and get some better ones.
