It's day three and the fire is still burning. For the past few days and nights the poor firefighters have been chasing this thing all over the mountain across the valley from my house. Yesterday they unloaded on it with huge sky-crane helicopters carrying water.

Today they pulled out several four-engine Foscheck drop planes. A smaller two-engine plane would lead them in low over fire. Pretty cool, but man are they close to the ground. Gotta be dangerous.
