Damn Good Day

It's always a pain in the rear to go to the gas station, especially during the last 6 months or so. But I started in to work and needed fuel for the Wrangler. I pulled up and noticed regular unleaded is down another 10-cents a gallon...nice. At $1.87 a gallon I'm still paying more than the rest of the U.S. but not bad. I can fill the tank on $30. I'm a happy man.

Then when I reached the downtown area from my redneck abode I was cruising down a two-lane surface street. Next to me was a big truck hauling a trailer full of hot tar. The truck and trailer hit a bump, and from the side I could see hot tar splash out of the top and onto the hood of some spoiled yuppie's BMW who was following the trailer too closely anyway. I laughed out loud. Yep, today is gonna be a good day.
