Owning multiple vehicles

My Junk Part 2

This is my hot rod. It's not a traditional hot rod by any stretch of the imagination, not only because it's based off of a 1945 Jeep, but it is what some call a rat rod. It's supposed to look like a piece of crap if you were wondering. That's the styling. It basically all started with an image I found online. The image was an artist's rendition of what such a vehicle would look like. So I started collecting parts, most of which were free. About a year or so later I had nearly 90% of the components I needed to build the thing. So I got to work cutting, welding and spinning wrenches until I had the roller you see here. Of course I'm not done with it yet but most of the heavy fabrication is finished. I'd really like to have it driving this summer so I can drive it to hot rod night in Escondido. We'll see.

If you've been on here a while you've probably seen snippits of the build online. When I get closer to done I'll put some stories about buildup in the magazine.
