Reader Paul Wade sent in these images along with this note from the Middle East:

"...I headed down the road to turn around, then I saw what appeared to be a workshop way off over the desert, however it was behind a couple of fences, across a crusted salt flat. With the biggest telephoto lens I could just make out the shape of a Jeep being built... unfortunately it appeared as though I couldn't get closer, then I spotted a gap in the first fence, so armed with camera, I set off, through the fence, and edged my way around the dried up crusty soft sand and salt flat, it took 20 minutes to get to a spot where I could poke the lens through the chain link fence to get these few shots... It appears as though there's a Jeep tub under a tarpaulin to the left, can just make out the slotted grill...."

So I poked over the pics Paul sent and noticed some strange things. If you look close behind the grill there is an engine, and a steering wheel! It looks as though this thing is going to actually drive when it's done! The operator will peer through the slats in the grille! I suspect they built the body using the smaller Jeep tub to the left as a model and slapped it on a large quarry truck of some sort and set it rolling on what look like could be aircraft tires. Wild. I would love to see this thing in person and gawd, to drive it would simply be awesome. Sooo, Sheik whoever-you-are that is having this thing built, please send your private jet to pick me up. I got my camera and I'm ready to go.
