Trailer Maintenance

I was having brake problems with the trailer... so I pulled it into the driveway, and the ol' Lincoln ended up coming out to play.

When I hooked the trailer up today, all I knew was that by the time I got back from Moab, I had to crank the trailer brake controller way up to get the right feel from the trailer...  I didn't know if I had an electrical problem or what...

Custom welder mod.

So, I pull it in off the dirt, and poke around.  Lo and behold, the brakes needed adjusting after 20K miles. So I adjusted the brakes and poked around to see what else might be an issue.

I found a couple of spots that needed some welding, but thanks to the constant wind across the driveway, I couldn't use the machine set up for MIG, so I dragged the 110V Lincoln out, with my custom mods.  I needed some innercore wire, and the110 was the only unit with it... unfortuneately, I also managed to lose some parts for the gun, and have been using it like this for a while.

Anyway, I got everything buttoned up, and ready to go.

Nothing like using a welder when all that should've been needed was a brake adjustment.
