Literally!  Ok, well maybe not quite, but I did have a near miss with an object thrown from an engine fan at a high rate of speed.

 I swapped a used weber onto my Jeepster, after sending the Rochester out for rebuild... I just wanted it to run so it was easier to move arround... anyway, I'm revving the engine to try to decide what is wrong with it at higher RPMs, and something whizzes by my face, catching me (a little bit) in the eye.  I looked around, and couldn't find a thing, so put it out of mind.

Then, later, I come out of my house, and what do I see but a shop rag some 20-25 feet up in a tree.  I seem to recall that being the rag that had plugged the intake while the old carb was off of it.  I've got no idea how it got into the fan... but thought it was pretty funny, all in all.
