I just bought another Jeep

 I just bought a '47 Jeep CJ-2A. I wasn't looking for one, I didn't really want one, and I don't really even know what I will do with another Jeep.

 Technically, I guess you have to pay for something to have bought it. So I didn't actually buy it. It was given to me and I still haven't seen it in person. I have to go pick it up next week. Apparently it even runs and drives. The real bummer is that I just got rid of a bunch of stuff at the swap meet a few weeks ago that would have fit perfect on this Jeep. Stuff I had been saving for years! Oh well, story of my life.Welcome my flattie to the family.

4. A Free Jeep? C'mon. Why don't those deals fall into my lap?

I just traded a '85 Camaro for a 1950-something M38 (with a 350)and payed the guy $200 to deliver it. That's probably the closet I'll ever come to a "Free Flattie".

5. Here is the key. You have to be willing to take absolute junk for years before deals like this hit your doorstep. You have to be known as the guy that has a bunch of Jeep junk. Once you have that all locked up, stuff comes flying in but, you're likely single or divorced by then.

6. what about swapping a fuel injected 2.5L out of a Wrangler, add an SM420 and you are in business! Retro-flatty!

8. Cool deal!! Free is the key!! LOL Yeah I am the Jeep heap guy in my neighborhood, so free stuff winds up here from time to time. But like you said you have to take a lot of junk before you fall into a decent freebie!! Good luck with it , should be a cool cheap Rig!
