Warn doesn't make its full-float conversion for early Dana 44s anymore, but ATV Manufacturing, www.hermtheoverdriveguy.com, recently put together a kit. And unlike the old Warn kit, you can buy Herm's kit in component form, so if you only need the spindles, 10, 19-, or 30-spline shafts, etc you can pick your poison. The install went down smoothly yesterday and I photographed the whole dealio for a story in the October '09 issue of Jp. I still don't know why, but there's something incredibly satisfying in getting the backlash right the first time when you install a new diff in an axle. I guess I'm so used to crap going FUBAR so much it's a welcome relief when stuff goes right for a change.
