12-cylinder YJ

Well, my 4-cylinder YJ finally got a V-8 today.

Sure, I have a pickup. And it's a nice one, too. But I went and put a SnugTop shell on the back. Don't get me wrong - I love the shell. It comes in extremely useful for 99% of my use. However, hauling engines is apparently that 1% where it's a hinderance.

Despite shortening the hoist chain as much as I could, I just couldn't snake the Chevy small block into the back of my pickup without removing the 300lb chunk of fiberglass that rests above my bed. No worries, since my trusty Wrangler has no carpeting, strong Rubicon Express springs, and no top to get in the way.

After folding back the bikini top bow in the back, the engine just slid right in place for its trip to Westech Performance tomorrow. Can't wait to see the looks of the motorists on the I-15 tomorrow.
