Adding a steering box and column to Sloppy Seconds

Flat Rod Steers!

I finally figured out how to graft the Willys truck steering box and column to my CJ-5 frame and flatfender body.

I had to build a mount, modify the truck pitman arm, shorten the steering column by 4 inches and lengthen the draglink about 2 feet. But it all went together well. I could have simply done what most hot rod guys do and use a Vega steering box but that would have set me back $300 bucks or so. Like many of the parts on my Flat Rod, my steering box and column were free.
