I might go buy this today. How would I build it? Who says I'd build it. This one would be for destroying.

I watch the the British automotive TV show, Top Gear. In one episode they sorta trounced a certain car with a cult following. Then, once the ensuing uproar from this small niche of collectors grew in fevor, they apologized on air by buying an even cleaner example - and dropping a shipping container on top of it.

I sorta feel that way about the '72-'73 Jeepster Commandos. I don't like them. I don't think anybody should like them. Then I found this one for sale locally at a rediculous price. I think I'm gonna go Top Gear on it.

After pulling the power steering, Dana 30 front, Dana 44 rear, and Dana 20 T-case out of it, draining the oil, and removing the glass, I think it'd be cool to drag the remainder do the desert for a little fun. I'd first start by seeing how quickly I could pour 50-round of ammo from 6 diffent firearms into it. I think I could do it in under 30-seconds. Then it'd be time to hook up the chain and take it for a drag around the desert. Maybe push it off a cliff. Roll it down a mountain? Bribe a few Marine pilots to drop a bomb or two on it?

We'll see. The guy is calling me back in a bit.
