I was more shocked that the guy at the gas station said he was working on Fast & Furious 5 than by the two HEMTT military truck cabs he had on the bed of his truck and trailer. I thought that kind of movie had long since gone the way of Beanie Babies.
There is a lot of movie industry near my house, not the stars and glitz mind you, I'm talking about the blue collar guys and equipment behind the scenes. Up the road from me is a guy that rents military vehicles for movies. Several indoor and outdoor studios are within a couple miles of me as well.
Anyway, I went to the gas station to fill my Recycled J-truck and I saw the two gutted HEMTT cabs so I asked him what he was doing with them. Apparently he builds movie cars. These were going on some contraption-of-a-vehicle for Fast & Furious 5. He said the vehicles will be able to drive up next to a moving train and pick up cars being transported right off the cargo trailer. Sounds kinda cool. Now I at least have to rent the DVD to see what this guy comes up with.
