I ran my '85 Ramcharger into the ground. I loved that truck, and while I owned it I always wanted to pick up an early '90s Cummins-powered W350 to tow it with. Today I found my tow truck on craigslist!
Of course, I already own a new Cummins-powered Dodge, but I'd still love to have the old, boxy body style. I know those trucks inside and out. There's no complicated computers or emissions crap to mess with. The old 12-valve Cummins engines will rattle you like a paint shaker, but with a couple minor modifications they'll put down 600-700lb-ft and 300-350hp. And they'll deliver mileage in the mid-20s while doing it.
This one even has the red interior of my old Ramcharger. Too bad it's not a crew cab. I'd be all over it if it was, but I couldn't squeeze my family of five in a club cab. I'd replace the Getrag five-speed with something burlier. Maybe a Ford ZF or even an NV5600. Cherry out the interior, make sure the A/C could freeze meat, add some newer Ram buckets and center console, do up a nice stereo and a couple video screens in the headrests, and never have to visit a smog station again.
The price is $7500-obo, but the trees in the background don't really look like southern California. Neither do the hay bales and steel farm lean-to. I'm betting it's a scam. Still, one of these days.....
