Unlike the other guys, I have no plasma cutter so when the time came to build a 3/16-inch-thick skidplate for my YJ, out came the angle grinder.
The skid covers from the front of the transmission pan to the back of the T-case. Here is how many cutting wheels I went through building it. There might be one or two in there from the axles I'm working on too, but most of them are directly because of that skid plate.
