Jp has a long, storied history covering 4x4 Jeeps of all years, but we do shoot two-wheel-drive Jeeps every now and then. Here's one that got away.
This Jeep used to frequent a local shop I visited all the time. I was going to shoot a "high class" feature of this VJ Jeepster with a full 100-point resto, but it never happened. I was geeking out searching for the perfect photoshoot location. I had it envisioned in my head: a huge So Cal house complete with wrap-around driveway and Canary Island palms overlooking the Pacific Ocean. I was gonnar bring in an arsenal of lighting gear and shoot it with my Nikon *** Velvia 50 film, and long, gooey exposure. I was gonna drape some fancy model all dolled up like an late '40s movies star across it. heck, I woulda probably even given her an cigarette on an old-school filter even though I'm allergic (and kinda morally opposed) to the crap.
Alas, before I could line it all up the owner sold it off. Now, with our budgets the way they are you'd have to settle for a DJ-5 Postal rig flanked by a speedo-wearing Pete with Randy's Doughnut shop in the background. And none of us want that.
