J8 Military Jeep

In addition to all the Mopar Underground- and Mopar Performance-built Jeeps, the guys from Michigan brought out this J8 that was fully-battle-prepped by Jankel Tactical Systems. I can see our guys riding this sucker into battle, can't you?

The HUMVEE is a darn fine vehicle. Don't get me wrong. But there's just something all-too American about a true US Military Jeep. In addition to the 2.8L diesel under the hood, front winch, heavy-duty lift/recovery attachments, heavy-duty Dana 44 front, and Trac-Lok-equipped Dana 60 rear, this J8 was outfitted for battle use. Twin fuel cans ride on either side for extended range and extra ammo and gear fit inside specially-built mounts in the rear cage assembly. If that's not enough, there's a M249 SAW mounted for the front passenger. While it's true this lightweight scout/reconnaissance platform wouldn't offer the fully-enclosed protection of an up-armored H1 or MRAP,  it does sport a M2 Browning Ma Deuce .50 cal on a 360-degree swivel mount for fire suppression. It'd be quite a feat for any bad guy with small arms or even an RPG get within effective firing range without getting turned into little gooey red pieces once that .50 opens up.
