Who builds the best?

Low-Slung Jeeps

It's no secret that we're big fans of low-slung Jeeps with big tires. The days of overly-tall lift kits and untrimmed fenders are over. But one company that has been pushing the no-lift big-tire envelope for years, maybe even a decade now is Chris Durham Motorsports (CLICK HERE for link). Owner Chris has been rolling around on a TJ with no lift for a lot of years.

At first he was building these TJs with 37s and now he's able to fit 40s with virtually no lift, thanks in part to his high-clearance hood, fender trimming, bump stop relocation, and larger diameter axle tubes (technically the bigger tubes provide a little bit of "lift"). If I were to build a low-slung TJ myself it would look something like his. Mostly because I have seen it work and I like the way it looks.
