Somebody get me an atlas, 'cause I can't find the state of "India" on a map of the US.
Yeah, it's a cost-cutting thing. Having a widget made in the US may cost you $100 by the time it's on your shelves ready for sale. But having it manufactured in China or India and shipped over costs you $10. That still doesn't mean I have to like it.
I remember as a kid - all the sewer covers and storm grates said "Pittsburgh" or "Ohio" or "Bethlehem". Not "India" or "China". It's one thing for a company to offer overseas goods, but it kinda irks me when I see municipalities and other tax-dollar-funded projects buying outsourced products. If you're gonna spend my tax dollars on something, the least you can do is make sure the profits stay in this country.
