Days blur together, but a day on the trail stands out. For example, I couldn't tell you what I did this day last week, but I can recount nearly every detail from this trip over Big Bear, CA's John Bull Trail back in early August of 2007.

This was also the first time my older son, Charlie, hit the trail with me while I covered an event for the magazine. He's a high-energy little guy and at barely 3 years old (at the time), was kinda into everything. It made it a challenge, but my friend, Reid and his lovely wife helped corral Charlie while I was snapping photos of early CJs coursing over the trail. Good times...well, except for that godawful stinger I used to run on my flattie. What was I thinking?
