I love talking to old guys born before the '30s. They've got some crazy stories to tell. Like many GIs, this guy fell in love with the Jeep during his service in WWII. He started telling me how Willys brought them to market for farm work after WWII and then got a look of pure joy when I started finishing his sentences for him. He seemed impressed I even knew the column shift was a somewhat-rare CJ-2 Agri-Jeep and early CJ-2A indicator. He grabbed this flattie from a field, replaced the rusty body panels, and drives it around town. The flatfender: bridging the generational gap!
