New Weld Truck & 4X4 Wheels

Weld Racing has been out of the truck & 4x4 market for years, but not anymore. They company has come up with a new line of wheels for our market that are stronger and lighter than almost any other offering.

The wheels are 100-percent made in the USA. That's killer. They also claim that they're up to 40-percent lighter than any wheel of comparable strength and offer a load rating of 3,500 lbs per wheel, making them fit for duty on even big 1-ton pickups. The light weight helps acceleration, fuel economy, and (especially in the case of the JK) will help lessen unsprung weight and extend axle component lift compared with bulkier, heavier wheel offerings. The hot-forged, machine-billet center is welded to the cold-forged shell so different backspacings aren't a problem like with an all-cast wheel. And to augment the truck wheels, a line of matching trailer wheels is in the works as well.

It's not all kittens and roses, though. As of now they're only available in 17- and 20-inch diameters, although you can have 'em between 8.5-14 inches wide! The prices we've heard thrown around are substantial: per-wheel costs will be more than a complete beadlock wheel. But the strength and light weight are the Weld's party piece.

Check the whole truck line at Weld Racing's website.
